Do your railing systems come preassembled?

No, our railing systems are made to ship simply and sustainably so they come ready for you to assembly yourself. Thankfully we have an incredibly simple process for installation and detailed instructions and videos to help you along the way. Can the railings be used on decks that have angles?

Yes! Our Multi-Angle Bracket Kit allows you to swivel your level railings to accommodate up to a 70 degree angle. We also have multi angle bracket kits for stairs as well so. So yes, decks come in all shapes and sizes and we can accommodate most of them!

What tools will I need to install these railing kits?

Here is a full list and a link for all of the products you might need to install our railing and post kits:

• Applicable drill bits/drivers for fasteners, lags, or bolts to secure posts ON your desired surface
• 9/64th drill bit needed to secure post skirt

Are these railings code compliant?

Outdoor Living Connection's Canyon Collection - All-Aluminum Level Baluster Railing Sections —8 feet and under— along with our standard 39" residential posts - are designed to meet the International Residential Code (IRC). However, the installer and/or purchaser should consult with a licensed professional to confirm that the selected railing system is suitable and compliant for the specific project and application. Follow all local building guidelines and regulations.

How do I clean and maintain the railing?

• Remove loose deposits with a wet sponge (avoid scratching the surface by dry dusting).
• Using a soft, clean cloth and a mild, pH neutral detergent in warm water, clean the powder coating to remove dust, salt, and any other deposits. DO NOT USE steel wool, sandpaper, Scotch-Brite, or any other abrasive cleaners or materials.
• Always rinse with fresh water to remove detergent after cleaning. Any remaining residue may cause discoloration or surface damage when exposed to the elements. Additional care should be given if a pressure washer is used, and in no case should you exceed 400PSI.

Can I paint or stain the railing?

No! painting is not needed or recommended. Our durable powder-coated finishes are designed to provide long-lasting resistance without additional coatings.

What support do you offer during installation?

Can I use an aluminum railing kit and existing wood posts?

Yes—but ensure your brackets align correctly and don't compromise structural integrity. We suggest using both our posts and railing kits for easy of installation and structural integrity.

Can I attach these railings/posts to the fascia of my home or deck?

Coming Soon! We are currently prototyping our fascia mounting kits and will have those available to purchase soon. Stay tuned!

How often will I have to maintain my aluminum railing?

Very rarely do our aluminum railings require maintenance. That is the beauty of investing in strong, sleek, and sustainable material. Dirt and dust may need to be removed and washed occasionally, but you should be able to assemble and enjoy your railing for years to come—hassle-free.
